Broken Angel
By Anna Keeney Fish

Brouwer does a great job drawing in the reader with an intriguing hook. Just enough is revealed to keep you drawn in, yet things are mysterious enough to maintain the suspense and a craving to keep reading. As the plot develops, some aspects may become too far-fetched for some readers. This reviewer thought the momentum and excitement waned. The ending seemed somewhat incomplete but did not leave me anxiously waiting for more. In addition, the evil is not only palpable, but brutal and graphic. That being said, overall, this is an entertaining book that captured me quickly and was generally enjoyable. If you dislike violence, it may not be the book for you.
