San Diego, Calif.-based singer/songwriter Molly Jenson will partner with online music provider Passalong.com to have one of her songs appear in the Freshman Survival Kit, which will be provided to 75,000 incoming freshman at colleges across the United States to help make the transition to college life a bit smoother. Jenson's song "Give it Time," will be provided free to each recipient of the kits who downloads the song online.
"The first year of college can be a time of great change and turmoil in one's life," noted Mark Joseph, founder of Bully! Pulpit Records, which is releasing Jensen's debut CD in partnership with Nettwerk Music Group. "We're hoping Molly's music will help with the transition."

"I wrote the song for me, to remind myself not to run away or hide when life gets too hard," noted Jenson. "I hope it will entertain first, but also help listeners on their own journey."

After announcing the release of her first album with Bully!Pulpit/Nettwerk Music Group, Jenson has stayed busy throughout the summer playing venues that have launched the careers of other southern Californian musicians. Opening for artists such as Greg Laswell and Cary Brothers, Jenson has frequented hot spots like Hotel Café and the Gypsy Lounge.
Singing songs about everyday life and the ability to relate to the audience makes "seeing Jenson live a privilege," noted the Vanguard Review.
Jenson's down-to-earth attitude is evident on stage and in interviews, where she reveals the inspiration for songs and some of her secret talents (she can touch her nose with her tongue…a fact she reveals in an interview with
