Speaking of depression, a study by the White House Office of National Drug Policy discovered pot-smoking teens are more than twice as likely to battle dark thoughts. Moreover, depressed users were more likely to become addicted to the stuff.

“Marijuana is a more consequential substance of abuse than our culture has treated it in the last 20 years,” says John Walters, director of the office. “This is not just youthful experimentation they’ll get over as we used to think in the past.” (Associated Press)
