If you haven’t heard, the fervor began over some questionable photos that Vanity Fair took of the young Miley Cyrus, known to millions of fans as Hannah Montanna. Considering her very G rated Disney image up to this point, the photos have generated a lot more attention than they might have otherwise. bsessed with the sensual and the sexual. A brief glance at the news reveals the fascination and the tragic consequences this has had on our culture and especially our young people. As the father of two daughters, I am desperate to know how I can help keep my girls pure. I admit, I don’t have all the answers, but I do have some good news; when we start with the Bible, strong character and purity will follow. As it says in Psalm 119 “How can a young man [or young woman] keep himself pure? By keeping it according to your word.” God’s word is powerful. Let’s share that good news with our young men and women so that they might keep themselves pure in the sensual onslaught of today’s world.
